Care & Cleaning For Tile & Stone

Ceramic and Porcelain Tile
You should always sweep or vacuum floors to remove dust and debris prior to cleaning. When mopping is needed, use a solution of water and a non abrasive liquid cleaner. (one or two drops of dish soap per a gallon of water is an excellent cleaning solution, add the dish soap after bucket is filled with water to avoid bubbles). Never use cleaners that contain acids or ammonia, as they can damage the grout and the surface of your glazed tile. Ceramic and Porcelain tiled floors are virtually maintenance, leaving you with great looking floor and surface areas that always looks new.

Natural Stone Tile
It is important to use cleaners that are specifically designed for cleaning stone. These special cleaners contain no acids and are neutral pH cleaners that will not affect any sealants or wax coatings. Always follow manufactures recommendations and test cleaners in an inconspicuous area first.

Always use a soft cloth or sponge, never use scouring pads, steel wool, or other abrasive products.
